In fact, in this cave the fossil skeleton of a man who lived 2,500 years ago was found, defined Uomo di Altamura. Continue for a walk in the historic center and visit the imposing Frederick cathedral.

Guided tour of the historic center where the ancient houses and palaces were built in tuff recovered from the subsoil which is therefore characterized by large cavities.
Today it is possible to visit the underground Gravina made up of these fascinating and unique environments through a tour that discovers cellars, cisterns and ancient rock churches. Lunch in a restaurant and return to the places of origin.
